creativeLIVE Received $7.5 m Investment From Greylock Partners

creativeLIVE , a live, online classroom for creative entrepreneurs, has just announced that it has received a $7.5 million Series A investment from Greylock Partners.

Greylock Partners is not a just another silicon-Valley-based venture capital firm. In the past,  this firm had backed companies like ebay and Google. So, its decision to fund an online education start up must be great news for the fledgling online education sector.

CreativeLIVE is promoted by Chase Jarvis and Craig Swanson. It allows aspiring entrepreneurs to engage in classes on a live web channel, and students can check the calendar of upcoming live courses to enroll in the ones they’re interested in taking.

These courses are completely free to students, although creativeLIVE provides the option for students to purchase full access to past courses to stream or download at their convenience.
