Stanford Ignites Opens Application

Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Stanford Ignite-Bangalore is now accepting applications for its part-time, nine-week certificate program in innovation, offered from August 10–October12, 2013.

Stanford Ignite is a nine-week, part-time certificate program that teaches innovators how to formulate, develop, and commercialize their ideas.  Participants will learn core business skills and experience working with a team to evaluate and develop ideas into a business plan.  Stanford Ignite is appropriate for both individuals who wish to bring innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to their current role and those who are planning to start a new venture.

Stanford Ignite classes are taught by the same Stanford Graduate School of Business Faculty who teach in our MBA program.  Prominent executives and corporate, venture, and angel investors participate as guest speakers, expert panelists and business mentors to provide candid feedback on team projects. Academic content will be taught through a combination of in-person instruction as well as live sessions delivered by distance learning technology.

Dates: August 10 – October 12, 2013

Times: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm -10:00pm (dinner included) and most Saturdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm (lunch included)

Additional meetings will be needed for project work

Application Deadline: May 15, 2013

Location: Infosys campus in Bangalore, India

Tuition: $8,350.00 USD

Eligibility

Candidates for admission should meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled master’s, Ph.D., M.D., or post-doc students studying non-business fields OR

Professionals with a bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited institution

This program is intended for individuals who do not have graduate business training (for example, an MBA)

Admissions

Offers of admission will be made on a rolling basis. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit all materials as soon as possible. To be considered for admission, a complete application will contain the following:

Online application, including a resume and series of short essays

Two letters of recommendation

Applications will not be accepted after the May 15, 2013 application deadline.
